Dear Drima,

I have heard so many things about you and your behaviour to other people. You know exactly what I am talking about; you are not clean. So, it is absolutely BEYOND me that you have the gall to do this to the victim that you tried so hard to expose Harvey for.

What you refuse to comprehend is that despite being in contact with the victim, you did not have the courtesy to even bring it up to her that she was about to be exposed and outed both as trans and as a victim of sexual assault by your tomfoolery.

You refuse to find out that the other person that you decided to name and shame has been offering emotional support to the victim. We have done the work. What have you done apart from destroying everything else? The victim, after Gurprit’s posts, attempted suicide. You will not care to find out.

Thank fuck she is still alive. The harm that you’ve caused to her is irreversible and blatantly anti-survivor and non-victim centric. Any facade of justice or attempt to “soothe the infighting” within the queer community has done nothing but needlessly expose the issues that the people implicated wanted to resolve privately in the first place. If anything, you are actively harming a queer person that you know but never had the fucking balls to check in on.

You are basically weaponising the victim for your own agenda. She has been feeling like fucking shit all day because of the publicity; she fears being identified due to being a victim of Harvey. But you do not care.

I have my right to reply to your nonsense, and I will do so and declare that you and Gurprit are both fools, who do not even care about the people who you pretend to care about, you are hypocrites.

You derailed the victim’s autonomy and right to discretion. You do not treat the said victim with the dignity to even have informed her that you were exposing her case. You caused her distress. You do not care about the victims of Mercury who have suffered, and yet have kick started the transformative justice work between Harvey and the victim.

The process of accountability is private between all relevant parties is currently ongoing, and it is strictly none of your business until we are all amicable.

So tell me. How can you call yourself a reporter, a journalist, if you cannot even be bothered seek consent from the very person you strive to “protect” via your exposing?

You might not believe me. Please grow the balls to message the same victim who you oh so heroically threw under the bus. You have her contact. Message her and ask if it’s all true.

Both she and the victims of Mercury would appreciate it if you and Gurprit took down the posts and issued statements of apology stating that you did not seek her consent and harmed her in the process.
